Dual role access patient and admin.

a Hello, Please find the details below for the system we are expecting. Overview: The system aims to efficiently manage patient groups, with the ability to assign one or more patients as administrators within each group. It's important to note that this system is distinct from a Personal Health Record (PHR) product, focusing primarily on group management and patient administration within those groups. Group Creation and Management: Patients will openly register for the application and they get assigned to particular organization. They will allow login to patient application but one of them will be assigned admin privilege dynamically and admin will be able to log in on medplum app Group Administration: Designated administrators can be assigned for each patient group. Admins have elevated privileges within their assigned group, allowing them to perform specific actions. Our Approach: We were trying to remove project reference from the user which allows user to login on backend app. Please let us know if this approach will work or any other solution is there to make the patient as admin dynamically.

Access policies are probably the better way to accomplish this, as "Medplum Admins" have increased powers, like the ability to make ClientCredentials, provision Bots and do other powerful things that seems inappropriate for what you describe here. Maybe a "Patient AccessPolicy" and a "Patient Group Leader AccessPolicy" is relevant in this case? https://www.medplum.com/docs/auth/access-control

Thank you for the reply, but as I understood, patient can not login to backend application like https://app.medplum.com. Instead he/she can login only on patient portal i.e. for Foomedical (Patient). So, I am wondering if there is any way to set some privilege/access policy etc. which allows patients to login on the backend app for management as well as on patient portal (Foomedical - Patient) to view his/her own data?

Technically this might be possible, but I'm concerned about a Patient's ability to navigate the admin console - it doesn't have much content for them and they would likely be confused. Especially if they need to take some action. A thought here - make a very simple portal for the patients based off of medplum-hello-world https://github.com/medplum/medplum-hello-world

Okay will check, thank you.
