Should our system's frontend be responsible for implementing the HL7 FHIR scheme and adhering to its standards, or is it preferable for the backend to take on the responsibility of integration with other systems and provide the frontend with data in any structural format?

@ahmed_eltabarani typically the backend takes charge of integration with other systems. However, when building on Medplum we do see a lot of front-ends query FHIR data directly from the FHIR API to display data. If you don't do this, you will need an API layer around the Medplum API to serve your front-end, essentially acting as a proxy
