I am primarily trying to customize a small scale UI to test Medplum functionality. Should a cloned hello-world app be sufficient in local development to customize the UI to be able to write data (create patient, create questionnaire, etc) or is it meant primarily for read-only purposes? or is this what I should utilize for my use case?: https://www.medplum.com/docs/contributing/local-dev-setup

Hello world would be a great places to start. You can update the UI to enable writing data as well
CHeck out our getting started tutoiral: https://www.medplum.com/docs/tutorials
The local dev setup is not mutually exclusive. You can use it to set up Medplum on your local machine, rather than using the service hosted at medplum.com https://www.medplum.com/docs/contributing/local-dev-setup
Would you like to share a bit about the application your application 🙂 ?

Ok, thank you. I'm finding difficulty customize the Medplum react components, unless currently they are not intended to be. For example, I cannot find a way to change the background color of AppShell's NavBar, unless I essentially construct it myself or use an eventListener. Is there an easier way to do this?
