Netlify deployment: user management and record sto...

Hello Medplum team 👋 , I'm new to Medplum - great being here. I'm trying to get a basic version up and running that I can use as a spring-board for iterating some front end features. To that end I'd like to invite a few people to the project so they can upload & view their records. I've been working through the (awesome) documentation at https://www.medplum.com/docs/contributing/run-the-stack. I’ve setup my docker, postgres, etc and runs fine on local. I’ve deployed to Netlify and have a basic version at https://prometheushealth.netlify.app/Patient/5132e059-5cf0-407f-ba2a-2cd98e353522. I did a quick search of the docs/support channel to see if this was answered elsewhere - please feel free to point me there if I missed it. Or if I'm just missing something really obvious :). *Questions: * 1/ Inviting members Do I need to self-host for emails to work? What’s the best way to invite friends to my project? I’m attempting via: https://prometheushealth.netlify.app/admin/invite but just get the below error, not sure the best path forward.
User created, email couldn't be sent
Could not send email. Make sure you have AWS SES set up.
Click [here](https://prometheushealth.netlify.app/admin/project) to return to the project admin page.
2/ Record upload - This works as expected locally via patient > timeline > upload. On the deployed url however it’s erroring out/ pointing to my local port. What change is needed to store in medplum’s servers? Is this a netlify config, or a file that I missed updating (I've been staring at this one too long, guessing it's something obvious!). If useful here's my git repo: https://github.com/ariakerstein/medplum Again, getting up to speed on the basics so hopefully these are reasonable questions 😉
Not sure if I tagged this appropriately but any help would be most welcome!

Hi @ariakerstein , happy to help. > Do I need to self-host for emails to work? What’s the best way to invite friends to my project? Based your description, it seems like you are self hosting. When I click on the link you sent above, it seems like you're attempting to call an API server on the localhost
In general, you won't be able to share this Medplum API server from your localhost. You can either use our Medplum Hosted offering by creating a project there and changing your app's "BaseURL" to
https://api.medplum.com
, OR self-host your own server
