Hey team,
We’re considering to adopt Auth0 as our primary authentication solution for our application (Web + Mobile). During our review of the documentation I stumbled upon using "External ID" while using external IDPs and wanted to confirm our use case if it applies here.
Our platform is an invite-only portal where users are currently invited first along with the login credentials on their email and are authenticated by Medplum. We’re now looking to extend login capabilities to include options like Google Sign-In and Phone Number & OTP-based authentication via Auth0.
However, we're uncertain about how to align this with our invitation-first workflow, particularly because the email address will not be the unique identifier in our case then. How can we invite users first and then allow them to log in seamlessly using Auth0, considering the external authentication methods?
Any guidance or examples would be greatly appreciated!
