Our application will be saving on the order of thousands or tasks/appointments for single patients (over the course of a year). Generally, we'd only want to know the tasks/appointments for a given length of time, say a day or a week. So would searching within that time range hit an index? Thanks!

Hi @rabbit_rabbit, any columns that have search parameters associated with them will be indexed. Do you have an example of what your queries would look like?

?period=ge${window.from.toISOString()}&period=le${window.to.toISOString()}&_count=1000

@rabbit_rabbit , this type of search should hit an index. There isn't much detail here but we fixed some range search bugs back in May - https://github.com/medplum/medplum/pull/9159
