saveAuditEvents config

Hi Medplum team, Is there an equivalent to saveAuditEvents [https://www.medplum.com/docs/self-hosting/server-config#saveauditevents] in Medplum Cloud? If there is, is it something that super admin or project admin can control or does it need to be configured by someone from Meplum?
a
Hey again! Those settings are only available for those who are self-hosting. That said, we do offer [log streaming](https://www.medplum.com/docs/integration/log-streaming) as part of our paid [tiers](https://www.medplum.com/pricing).

Hi Alex. Does that mean if we want to save auditevent on all REST API calls (so we have a queryable FHIR resource), we need to manually (or use a bot with subscription) create auditevent?
a
Manually creating
auditEvent
via a subscription/bot can work on a small scale for create/update/delete changes that hit a subscription you've defined. Though this is not equivalent to logging every RESTful operation and would not give you the robust logging the way log streaming would.

@Alex so is there no provision for gaining visibility/access to the AuditEvents created from restful api calls? i can see in the server source that they are logged, but a cloud subscriber has no way to get those events unless they are on Premium with a log drain, correct?
r
@jmcneese - this is correct, with one caveat some subset of AuditEvents are created for Bots by default for debugging. These are converted to log only when those bots are executed at scale.
