Is there a benefit to switching from MUI/Minimals to the MedPlum react component library? I'm sure it has its benefits, I'm just trying to sus out what they are

It's mostly about speed. The integrations (labs, meds) have prebuilt front end integrations that smooth a lot of the complexity. Also, the experiences have been certified, saving compliance time. Free to go whichever path! We also see some teams using Matine/Medplum for internal care app and custom library for patient or partner experience

Ok yeah that makes sense. Thanks
My team is curious about customizing the look of the medplum components (lets use the PatientTimeline as an example). I noticed there aren't any input params in the storybook example: (): JSX.Element => Is it correct to say that if we wanted to make visual changes to the look and feel of these components, that we have to just rebuild them from scratch? Thats fine btw, we just want to understand the limitations of the out of the box components.

Good question John, could I ask you to repost in #1094022380659155005 ?
