`:not` searches on boolean fields
# support
n
Hey team- I'm having trouble doing a
Practitioner?active:not=false
search to return where
Practitioner.active
is either
null
or
true
. Likely because it seems to be persisting in postgres as
false
on the
active
column instead of
null
. R4 docs describe the
:not
modifier- >Reverse the code matching described in the paragraph above: return all resources that do not have a matching item. Note that this includes resources that have no value for the parameter - e.g. ?gender:not=male includes all patients that do not have gender = male, including patients that do not have a gender at all Not a FHIR expert- is there a special case for token searches on boolean fields or should this type of query be supported?
Extremely coincidentally looks like this was handled for [token fields](https://github.com/medplum/medplum/pull/7999) less than an hour before I posted this. Opened [#8009](https://github.com/medplum/medplum/pull/8009) for booleans.
