HI all - I am getting started building a patient app - so likely a noob question. We'll use the Medplum sample provider app as-is. While building out the scheduling flow on the patient app locally, i went to the local instance of the provider app to add some availability for a provider, I am getting a 400 from this endpoint http://localhost:8103/fhir/R4/Bot/$execute?identifier=http%3A%2F%2Fexample.com%7Cset-availability thoughts?

HI @masrur88 , thank you so much for reaching out and choosing Medplum for your project.
So the message you're getting indicates that that your project is missing a particular Bot (https://www.medplum.com/docs/bots) in your Medplum project
Unfortunately our Medplum provider at provider.medplum.com is in a bit of weird state
in our hosted offering, we have a specific project with these Bots set up. For your localhost, I can post the code for the relevant Bot here:

@rahul1 thanks for answering. yes I reviewed the docs about bots and trying to follow [this](https://www.medplum.com/docs/bots/running-bots-locally) to run bots locally. However, when i tried to add
bots
as a feature for my fhir r4 project in my local medplum admin, I am forbidden to do so. When i tried to go to
/admin/super
, I am also forbidden.
m
@rahul1 I got the code, but I still can’t run the bots locally. I was following the instructions in the link above
a
Check in your user membership - Admin is checked?
s
@masrur88 can you check this using super admin login.
you mean "ProjectMembership" resource?
r
HI @masrur88 , the "R4" project is a pre-populated project that contains the base FHIR resource definitions, and is read-only
to create a bot, you'll have to create your own project, then enable bots on that projct
m
OK ignore my comment about R4. I did create a new project (POM Health), and my user is an admin user on the project. I do not see anywhere I can set the user to be a super admin. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1427751244533076009/1428477581874692166/Screenshot_2025-10-16_at_1.19.26_PM.png?ex=68f2a4eb&is=68f1536b&hm=3ad595335fb6e29eef0c6eada00e2be7bcd6c6dc691072affe4b076a97d23279&
Note that this is all run locally.
