might be a bit of a silly question but for the foomedical where it mentions "By default, your locally running Foo Medical app is pointing to the hosted Medplum service." does this mean it's pointing locally or to medplum.com?
z
my understanding is that the foomedical app has no "medplum" backend. It's communicating with medplum's online platform to fetch your data
u
that's the way I assumed it ment to be read but wanted to double check 😅 thanks @zuchka_

ya I had the same thoughts. Alternately, you can run your own instance of medplum service + the DBs locally and connect it to them. and then do the same thing when you deploy--hand-roll your own Medplum "stack"

Yea that's the plan, is that from a fresh clone or you mean from the foo Medical App. didn't know if foo medical installs postgres n such?
z
> if foo medical installs postgres n such? it doesn't
its just a frontend app
if you build the medplum local dev (based on the medplum/medplum repo), then you end up deploying postgres and redis in docker containers: https://github.com/medplum/medplum/blob/main/docker-compose.yml
u
what would be the required resource to have booking/ scheduling working in foomedical base app?
