Why does Medplum resolve references with
urn:uuid
when it doesn't store the resource?
r
HI @ljnic - I'm not sure I follow. would you mind sharing an example?
l
Like if you post a bundle and there's a reference to a resource not in Medplum, it will replace the resource type with
urn:uuid

r
Hi @ljnic , sorry for the delay
In general, there a many different
Bundle
types: https://www.hl7.org/fhir/bundle.html. Most are considered output bundles, not intended to be used to create resources. The main input bundles are
transaction
and
batch
.
l
oh I just looked at the code a bit more closely and I think it's just using the
fullUrl
r
When you use the medplum app "Batch" page, if you send a
transaction
or
batch
, it should not make any modifications. However, if you post an output bundle, the "Batch" page uses some heuristics to convert it to a
transaction
bundle.
l
this is just my bad, apologies lol
yeah it was a transaction bundle, I just realized medplum was using what was given and didn't check the data I was sending properly
