I'm attempting to insert a Patient resource, but seeing the above error message. The incoming data includes "primitives" like:

birthDate: "1995-09-27",
        _birthDate: {
          id: "birthdate1",
        },
        deceasedBoolean: false,
        _deceasedBoolean: {
          id: "deceased1",
        },

My understanding is that this is valid FHIR, but for some reason, it is getting tripped up on

_deceasedBoolean

. Is this expected?

Hi @codingtom - yes, that looks valid to me. Are you self-hosting or using Medplum cloud? If using Medplum cloud, could you send your Project name? Internally, Medplum has 2 separate validators. "legacy", which used an old version of the fhir.schema.json from the R4 spec, and "strict" which implements the full spec. I suspect this is a matter of flipping your project to the "strict" validator. "strict" is the default for all new projects.
