Is Open Registration for "Therapists" for Psychoth...

I'm developing a subscription-based psychotherapy documentation app for independent therapists. Each therapist will have exclusive access to their own client records -- and of course no one else's records. Every therapist's practice should be "silo"-ed and separate from each other. Interoperability is typically not that important here -- but confidentiality is -- progress notes for therapists are typically kept apart from medical systems, due to confidentiality. My challenge is in trying to implement a self-service registration system that allows therapists to: * Sign up independently * Try the platform out (and then buy a monthly subscription if they like it) * Maintain proper access controls and security Is it possible to allow therapists to self-register while restricting their access to only their own Medplum-bot transcribed progress notes? I think I can set up the Default Access Policies to limit Therapists to view only their own records. However, actually it looks like if I classify therapists as "practitioners" they can't self-register. I'm hesitant to try the /invite endpoint route -- just because it seems really complex and involved. But here's my not so brilliant idea for a workaround....
Ok, a totally bizzaro "hacky" thought. I know this violates everything FHIR interoperability related -- but... solo therapists don't generally need interoperability. So... maybe in this case, the "Actual therapists" are more like PATIENTS... data-wise than actual providers. They want everything to be separated out -- and to only see their own records. And so, we might be able to let these therapists be classified as "Medplum patients" -- so they can self-register. And then progress notes can be "compositions" that are created by the therapist-who-is-actually-a-medplum-patient-in-the-database. They actually don't need to see anything other than their own "compositions" -- they are just grabbing the progressnote that was generated by the transcription bot + AI within the medplum app, There's no risk of information leakage. And maybe... everyone is happy? 🙂 I know, I know it's a crazy thought. But... curious about folks thoughts! @rahul1 @reshma
Or actually another slightly wacky idea: Let the therapists "register" through the a Patient Registration workflow. Then trigger a bot to automatically create a Practitioner with the therapist's info -- as pulled from the Patient Registration. And then send this newly thus-created Practitioner therapist a "reset password" email. And voila -- you've got a bit of a hacky version of Practioner "self-registration".
Or finally... let the therapists "register" through a New Project workfow. Then figure out how to make sure the new projects are prepopulated are prepopulated with the same bots, and use "Execute by Identifier".

New Project workflow is probably the closest in term of being the path that seems to match most. If all of the clinical business/logic is implemented, then the "Projects" will provide the separation for the practices

Yes! Thanks -- superhelpful! New Projects sounds like the closest! Bingo. 🙂 This Awesome. It works great! Now... I just need to figure out how to get the Bots, ported over to the new project. 🙂 I think there is a ways to "clone the bots?" from a "basecamp" project into these new projects? But I can't seem to figure that one out just now. If you (or anyone ) have any ideas -- it would be so appreciated. (And lovely to meet you today, @reshma and thanks for all your help!)
