I was reading through the documentation of Medplum but I seem to be confused about how to make it correctly fit together for my workflows. Is there a good place in the documentation that I can go to and properly understand how I can simply make use of the CRUD operations for the patient and not include all the authentication aspects?

I think this'll allow me to have my client side application continue running while also being able to use the FHIR server for reading, writing, editing, and deleting FHIR compliant resources. 

If anyone has more experience and would recommend something else or has any tips and tricks that I might benefit from, I'd appreciate any input.

Yeah, that should help if you want to use an external IDP!
