Not able to deploy bots through CLI
# support
h
After self hosting Medplum, we`ve been configuring some bots through the admin app, which has been working fine. However, we are now transitioning to creating bots for production and trying to deploy them through API, but they are not properly being deployed. Example, I`ve executed the cli command to deploy a custom bot I created like: npx medplum bot deploy documo-webhook-bot Saving source code... Updating bot... Success! New bot version: f71f16e7-5188-4807-a708-40d92a991fb8 Number of bots saved: 1 Number of bots deployed: 1 Number of errors: 0 After that, even by the CLI stating that the bot was deployed, I`m not able to execute him and neither found him in our lambda functions list in the region Medplum is deployed.

@henriquecgarcez , what is the
runtimeVersion
of the bots youve created?
Also, what error are you getting when trying to run the bot?
h
Hey @rahul1 thanks for the reponse, but I was already able to solve this by recreating the bot directly with the CLI.

To help other community members, could you describe what your underlying issue was?
h
Sure. Initially, I created the bot through the Medplum admin interface. Then, I tried updating it and adding source code via the CLI. Even though the CLI indicated that the deployment was successful, the bot’s Lambda function didn’t appear on AWS. To resolve this, I created a new bot directly from the CLI and deployed it, which worked successfully. I’m currently running the bots on Node.js v18.

Hi, I am trying to create a bot in my local and getting and error saying Forbidden. I am not sure what the issue is.
r
@rk00600 have you run the
medplum login
command first>?
r
Yeah, I did. I tried deploying a bot that I created earlier in Medplum console and it worked fine. But when I tried creating a bot, I am getting the above error.

Another thing to check - do you have any access polciies set up?
