Hello everyone, I'm Malte, the head of software development for a Practice Management System (PMS) manufacturer in the dental industry. Our company has been dedicated to developing domain-specific knowledge for the past 25 years, and we're currently in the process of modernizing our architectural foundation. Our interest in the Medplum community stems from our decision to adopt Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) as our core technology, a choice driven by the regulatory landscape and the potential efficiencies we see in using this standard. We've noticed that regulatory authorities, such as gematik in Germany, are increasingly adopting the FHIR standard. Gematik, for those who might not be aware, is responsible for the development and maintenance of the electronic health card (eGK) system in Germany and frequently publishes numerous profiles based on the FHIR standard. We believe that their adoption of FHIR and the associated profiles will bring numerous benefits to our organization. Given Medplum's use of FHIR and its features for automatic generation of data storage and form creation based on FHIR profiles, we see it as a potential foundational element for our software. It provides an exciting alternative to manual coding, especially when compared with tools like HAPI FHIR Plain. We're eager to engage with the Medplum community, learn from your experiences, share our insights, and collectively grow our understanding of FHIR and its applications, even if we choose a different basis for the next generation of our application.

Great to see you here! And we welcome. So we do have more in store for profiles that we are continuing to work on - and we agree with you profiles are pretty powerful. Would you be willing to share the profiles you are interested in? cc @medplummatt

Medplum's API-based architecture allows for much greater customization depending on clients' needs. Medplum should also reduce the time it takes to create new applications and add new functionality.

Thanks for these @aliandyr (cc: @medplummatt )
