1) Store therapist notes (that will be potentially used for submitting insurance claims) 2) Allow a therapist to view their previous notes 3) Store patient in-take forms / screeners etc Is this something we can use webplum for? Bonus, does webplub have any medical insurance features such as looking up someone's member ID to get their coverage, their copay, ability to submit claims etc? This may require a separate product in the future, so just a bonus for now. Another bonus: Does this do anything for e-prescriptions which we plan to support down the road? Lastly, we have a supabase db that we can pay to bump up to the HIPAA compliant version. Can we self host webplum on something like Linode and just have it use our HIPAA supabase db, or is there a reason to use the webplub hosting instead? Thanks

Medplum supports capturing notes, note review, screeners and more. If you want to see a sample and already have a Medplum project with some data in it, you can use those same credentials to log into https://provider.medplum.com We also do support eprescribe, lab orders, eligibility and revenue cycle on our hosted offering as well.

Hello @oscadev ! Some more info on how we handle Encounter notes [here](https://www.medplum.com/docs/charting#encounter-charting) Check out our demo of patient intake [here](

) Some of the additional 3rd party integrations that might be useful for you. 1. Stedi - Insurance eligibility lookup and claims submission 2. DoseSpot - e-prescription

@reshma @finnbergquist I like that this already has a frontend, but we would want to integrate it into our own app as much as possible. Can we control the FE styling and use our own custom domain even if we use the medplum hosting option? Or must we self-host to be able to achieve these?
Ie, all ideally being done without a provider or client having to create a "medplum account" etc. Ideally, we can just use our app's existing auth to know who someone is, ie can our own backend create providers and patients programmatically, can we save data through the api directly if we wanted without having to use the provided FE portals. Our goal is an EHR we can integrate into our own telehealth app where the integration is seamless, meaning a user can create an account on our app, and thats it, with no need to create medplum accounts etc, and with the freedom to style things to our own liking if we desire to, either by building custom forms and then submitting data to the medplub backend using the APIs, or by overriding the styles on the medplum portal frontend.
@reshma also, can we select which features we are using and not? For example, we dont need scheduling since we have already built it. Can we disable "scheduling" from appearing in the portal? likewise for any other feature we arent using. We are just starting with therapist session notes and intake forms / consent forms / screeners
r
@oscadev - you can absolutely white label and no one needs to know you are using Medplum under the covers. You can turn off the schedule, anything you want to turn off. See some samples of what people have built https://www.medplum.com/case-studies

@reshma Also, is this suuitable for our use-case (for therapists)? The examples have forms geared at typical medicine like asking for vaccine status, looking at lab results etc. Is there a "therapist template" that magically makes everything suitable for therapists, or do we have to manually tweak all the forms, sections etc? Thanks
Thanks for the fast responses

Lots of therapy and mental health use cases on Medplum. You can download templates from the NIH if you want

or make your own.

Thanks, lots of great news
@reshma Does medplub handle the "audit trail" requirement for hipaa compliance, (ie, does it log which user is requesting or modifying data), or do we need to store that ourselves? The idea is to have the client do "getTherapyNotes" etc on the frontend, which makes a request to our own backend, which then fetches the data. Can we pass in a patient id or a provider id indicating who triggered the request, which then medplum uses for the "audit trail"? Or do we need to track that ourselves in our own non-hipaa db?
r
yes we do handle the audit trail for HIPAA, and you can use the "on behalf of" authentication method from your own backend https://www.medplum.com/docs/auth/methods/on-behalf-of
o
@reshma you previously mentioned we can use STEDI for insurance lookup, but the medplub docs have this section "https://www.medplum.com/docs/billing/insurance-eligibility-checks" Does this mean we dont need to implement STEDI and can just use our existing medplum account to lookup insurance info?
r
Are you on one of our offerings? This is something to discuss with your forward deployed engineer. The answer is possibly.
o
yea, we are using a paid plan
f
Hey @oscadev , I am happy to tell you more about our Stedi integration! Do you want to schedule some time [here](https://calendly.com/finn-medplum/30min) ?
o
I chose a time slot, thanks!
